BDC provided the Structural and Civil engineering services in relation to an extension to Orsett Hall which included the creation of heath suite and spa facilities, gym, function room and bar together with an additional 12 bedrooms.
Works include construction of a piled basement structure with underground tunnel/link structure to the main hotel building all supporting a concrete transfer plate at ground floor in turn supporting a two-storey steel frame structure.

New build extension consisting of 22 bed Hotel, Function areas, new Kitchen, Bar and Health Spa extension to existing 4-star hotel is set in 12 acres of landscaped gardens.

The project consisted of a contiguous piled basement and access tunnel to the existing Hotel with a grade 3 waterproof lining walls to accommodate the health suite and Swimming pool. The superstructure comprised a steel frame over ground floor to provide clear span flexible function and banqueting space and support the hotel bedroom accommodation at first floor level above.
