St Marys Island is a phased brown field regeneration of an historic Submarine servicing base. The site historically included significant structures and associated infrastructure and which was demolished and the ground remediated in the 1970’S.

The site is now undergoing a site wide regeneration and we have designed several phases of residential housing, apartment blocks, extra care accommodation block and several medium rise apartment blocks.

BDC have had extensive involvement in the site over the last 5 years including scoping site investigation works based upon co-ordinated reviews of historic layouts to plot culverts, plant rooms, dock walls, cranes and building footprints and the proposed layout to help scope additional SI testing and pile probing for potential obstructions.
