BDC provided the Structural and Civil engineering services for this extension to an existing primary school to form a four-form entry school. Works had to be sequenced and programmed around the operational functions of the school and utilise school holidays wherever possible to minimise disruption to the school.

Works included extensive external works in the form of diversion of large diameter foul sewers, build over agreements for adopted surface networks including sustainable drainage designs.
Structural works included a 2-storey extension classified as a class B structure, supported on a hybrid load bearing and steel frame built off piled foundations owing to poor local ground conditions.
Works also included extensions to the on-site Nursery facilities and the main hall.
